Visual artist Vanessa Rosa developed a project with the team of teachers from Magico de Oz School in São Paulo based on her research on ethnomathematics and her art works with Same Putumi, a leader from the Huni Kuin indigenous group. The students learned about the symbolic meaning of indigenous patterns and their algorithmic logic, then they created their own patterns using CSDT code and last they made shirts, wall hangings and paintings with laser cut stencils with their patterns.
