- Joint Pains

- Declines in Mental Functioning
- Pain, numbness or tingling of the extremities
- Headaches
- Memory loss
- Mood disorders
- Miscarriage or premature birth in pregnant women
- Weight loss

- Can be found in soil
- Water
- Household dust
- Pottey
- Toys
- Makeup
Complications
- brain damage
- damage in kidneys and nervous system
- seizures
- unconsciousness
- death
Treatments
- Chelation therapy- medicine that binds with the lead, which then exits through your urine
- EDTA therapy
Preventions
- wash toys
- clean surfaces
- run cold water to clean pipes
- dont let your children play on soil
- eat healthy
Freddy Gray as a child grew up exposed to lead poisoning. So did other children in west Baltimore. A big problem there was a lot of lead in the air do to the peeling of lead paint in that area. Children are more likely to have lead poisoning.
