Anne Pope

Anne Pope is the North East Regional Director of the NAACP. She went to Jackson State University in Jackson, MS. In 1999, with Dr. Jones Partnership for Building Stronger Communities, she took a Summer study tours to Africa. This was the first of several trips to Africa. She has fostered numerous other international collaborations through SUNY Albany. She was honored as “Capital Region Women Veterans of Social Justice” in 2016 by Saint Rose and Albany Tempo Spectrum. She is the director for Christian education at Union Missionary Baptist Church in Albany, NY.
